It’s Friday, and I know I can use a bit of humor after a long week (or few weeks for some of us) and hope you can too!
I’ll be the first to admit that I just can’t be perfectly green in everything I do (apologies to everyone who’s more hard-core than I am). But, as I so often write here, taking some steps, and some pretty simple steps at that, is far far better than doing nothing. And we all have our own ways to doing that, and our own little steps that help us contribute to a greener world.
But lest I think you know all the possible things that can affect (or at least correlate with) carbon-emissions reduction, once again, I find something new:
I learned today that Somalia manages to top the world lists in two categories. It has the lowest carbon emissions per capita of any country in the world (for the years measured).
It also has the most pirates.
(Disclaimer: for entertainment only! we obviously don't endorse piracy, physical or intellectual) Could the pirates be stealing more than ship’s cargo?
Maybe, in addition to Earth Day, we should start celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day?
