WebEx online selling, marketing, and meetings have a clear economic advantage.  We often speak of the "speed of business" using online meeting and collaboration technology.  The speed of business equals extreme and competitively disruptive economic advantage in marketing, selling, collaborating, and meeting online:

The current IRS tax rate for driving your car to a business meeting is roughly 50 cents.  That doesn't include your time, the other parties' time or driving, parking, exhaustion, opportunity cost (you could have performed 3 other revenue-generating activities instead of driving), additional insurance costs (because your annual driving mileage increases ... as do your rates), the cost of lunch, or the cost of the space you will use for your meeting.

100 miles = $50.

Lunch = $25

Parking = $25

Opportunity Cost = everyone could've closed a deal = $$$$$$

Insurance increase due to extra driving = $1.

Meeting space@ $30 / SF / Yr = $25

Your lost wages for a day = $300 (versus a loss of only an hour or two online)

The cost of this meeting for the first person will be over $400.

Of course, depending on the circumstances of the other parties, the numbers will not be additive due to the sharing of space.  Assuming that the other parties do not have to "chip-in" for space.  It's still greater than $350. per person.

A ten-person physical meeting is probably costing you more than $3,500 each time you meet.

Moving 100 meets a year online could save your company more than $350,000 per year.  And that doesn't include the additional "opportunity pickups" as a direct result of the time that is added to the work day.

WebEx online marketing, sales, collaboration, and meeting literally makes more than cents ... it makes dollars!
