If we only do online questions, people often don't read the replies and feel that their questions have not been answered. Opening the lines to everyone is often not a good idea for a number of reasons. Do you do online or live Q&A?

I often tell the audience to submit their questions online and then read and answer them live at the end of the event. That way, it gets captured in the recording.

Depends on the size of the event. If it's a small group - it makes it more personal to have live Q&A. If an audience is large - definitely online only.

We tell our attendees to type their questions in the QA panel and they'll be answered in the QA session at the end of the webinar. I don't believe is practical to answer questions live during the webinar though, I've enjoyed the WebEx experience this week and have found the live question answering during the presentation cool. I'm not sure if we could incorporate this into our program due to the specialized content and the presenters need to stay focused on the material during the initial presentation.
