Hi, I have a question regarding the live video in WebEx. Currently we use one laptop as the host and a second laptop for recording the live presentation. Is it possible to join as a participant (recording laptop) and have it's own video feed?

For example, the host system has it's own video feed via USB and Canon XL1. The host system is broadcasting it out to remote users (with video). However, what I would like to do is have the recording laptop have it's own video feed (via USB) so the video quality is much better and stable. Is this possible?

Also, are there any plans to increase the frame rate and quality of the video?

Another question I have is regarding the host vs presenter role. What I would like to see is to have a participant join as the presenter and have his view full screen (PPT show) and have the host system continuing to broadcast out PPT share and live video. So the presenter's laptop is controlling the PPT presentation, but the host system is broadcasting it out with the PPT and live video.

Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance for you support.

Hello Ed,

The Multipoint Video feature available in Meeting Center and Training Center should provide you with the increased flexibility you are looking for. You can have two attendees (host and presenter) view different video feeds. Multipoint Video also allows you to increase the video frame rate for better quality.

Thanks Oded.

Yes, I was thinking about using MPV for this situation. I will reply back if I encounter any issues.

Ed
