I recorded a test webinar using the network recorded from webex.  I then downloaded the file and converted it to a WMV file.  I tried to open this file in Windows Media Player as well as Camtasia Studio and I can hear the audio but the video portion is not there.  Has anyone had this happen and if so any solutions?

I assume you mean the video from your webcam? Did you see it in the original ARF recorded file? If yes, when you click to convert to WMV, make sure you check the "Video" check box.....

I am not looking for the Webcam to be included rather the video portion of the class I was teaching. So to clarify a little further I want to see what everyone else sees when I share my desktop. I can see it on the ARF file but when I convert it is just audio and not the shared desktop video portion.

This should work but sometimes has issues with specific machine configurations. Can you try it on a different machine?
Did you try converting to flash (SWF)?

I have the same problem.  I contacted Web Support and they think it's linked to Media Player v11.  They suggested removing that version and installing v9.  I have not been unable to uninstall v11 to test.

I have had same problem; convert only converts to SWF which still requires another conversion to edit (create mini clips) which is not practical. I first thought it was file size, but even short videos will not convert. I have Windows Media Player 9 on XP and Vista, neither completed conversion it goes all the way through converting only to report 'failed' at end. Still trying to get help from WebEx support.

Thanks to WebEx support I am now able to convert ARF to WMV; turns out that my problem was related to using Windows Media Player 9. I forwarded ARF video clip to support who were able to convert in on PCs with Windows Media Player 11 and 10, but not 9. So I installed Windows Media Player 11.0.5721.5145 and removed and then reinstalled WebEx Network Recording Player and I am now able to convert ARF clip to WMV.

Now I will see how I am ale to edit using Pinacle Studio 11 Ultimate.

One thing I learned in process is that I may not have to download entire originally recording video; using the WebEx editor tool (select drop down then Modify at far right for video file in My recordings) I can set the segment that I want to view for downloading and then only downloading the selected segment. With original clips of 30 to 50 minutes this will save me time in many ways.

I got the same problem. I was using Windows XP.  Windows Media Player 10.  Tried to do it on other computer and it worked.  Tech support had the same experience of it not working on some computers and working on others.  Still don't know if it's a computer configuration issue.  Hope this helps.
