This is probably going right back to basics for most people but I'd like some advice please.

We run training sessions and webcasts using WebEx and I would dearly like to be able to add sounds to the sessions - particularly a music intro whilst people are joining.

I inserted a sound file into a PowerPoint presentation but the download took too long and confused people.

I have seen various mentions of Dynametric (is that spelt correctly?) but can't seem to find a recommendation or specification for the system I'd need or how it connects.

Is there anyone there who could advise please?

This hooks up to your PC, and allows two-way audio transfer between the PC and the phone line, so you can record a session on the PC, and/or supply audio from the PC to the phone line. Note that the audio wouldn't have to come from the PC, it could just as easily come from an MP3 or CD player.

There are more expensive, professional audio grade interfaces (based on digital and/or hybrid technology), but the cost is much higher for what is (in my opinion) relatively little in terms of potential quality improvement considering the constraints imposed by using a phone line in the first place.
