08/04/2008 5:07 PM Alert

I have an issue with the productivity tools and Lotus Notes integration. The scheduler doesn't appear on delegated calendars, i.e., when the secretary opens the boss's calendar remotely she gets an error and the button to schedule a WebEx meeting is not on the new meeting form.

The error is "Cannot locate specified OLE object within the document"

Everyone is using Notes 7 and the latest productivity tools from our enterprise site.

can anyone provide any guidance on how to resolve this?

I've submitted the issue to support at webex.com as well, but no joy yet.

Thanks

Hi Gregory,

Schedule on behalf should work and Secretary can schedule WebEx meeting on boss's behalf. Before you could use schedule on behalf feature, just make sure that following prerequisites have been met -

1. Boss needs to log on to WebEx site. Then go to My WebEx --> My profile. Go to sessions section and needs to provide scheduling permission to Secretary.

2. Secretary should have full permission to Boss's Lotus Notes email, calendar and todo.

3. Secretary and Boss, both should have Lotus Notes integration installed.

Thanks,
Sangeet

Sangeet,

Yes we have followed the procedure set fourth in chapter 4 of the Lotus Notes Integration Prodcutivity Tool User Guide (wx_lni_ug.pdf) very carefully.

Permissions have been set on the WebEx site and in Lotus Notes. The integration installs without issue and the everyone can use the integration on their own calendars without incident. but as soon as you open someone else's calendar Notes throws the OLE object error.

WebEx tech support reccomended running the WebEx Lotus Notes Admin tool, but that solution may not be feasible, so I was hoping may be some else had come across this before and had found a solution that did not require a notes administrator.
