Do you have a minute?
As community members, we truly appreciate feedback - the good, the bad and the ugly.
We created a short survey that should take no more than a minute to complete. Your responses are anonymous and are invaluable to us. Getting feedback and participation is one of the key drivers to ensure we're meeting your needs.

New Kid on the "Blogger" Block
Introducing Thomas Sagmiller.
We'd like to welcome Thomas as our most recent blogger. Thomas is in our consulting organization and is a collaboration expert focused on helping customers achieve stellar results with their online, offline, and collaborative media events. He has extensive expertise coaching executives in business strategy and tactics, online and offline programs, traditional and non-traditional media, communications, and sales. Thomas enjoys a good analytical challenge as well as helping others achieve their business objectives. It's no surprise that he has a certificate in Decision Analysis from Stanford in addition to both his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Featured Book: Seven
As you recall last month we introduced a ‘book wiki’ asking members to share their ‘favorite books’. I am pleased to report we’ve had some recommendations.
One of the recommended books is “Seven”. If you’re thinking dreamy Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman… wrong Seven. Seven: Software Business Models by Timothy Chou, is a follow on book to the first book about Software as a Service: The End of Software. Seven is focused on helping existing and would-be software companies be successful in the quickly evolving world of business software. Using stories from leaders at eBay, Google, Amazon, Salesforce.com, WebEx, Rightnow and many others it may not make J.K. Rowling worry - but it's a must read for any of us using, producing or investing in software. This book is available via Lulu.com .
Featured Find: Survey Tools
Creating on-line surveys is a snap. Soliciting feedback is imperative when you run a business. You want to be able to understand what's working, what's not, what to improve, what to leave alone. Surveys can assist with uncovering things you want to know -- and don't want to know.
Here's a few online survey tools:
Zoomerang is another survey tool offering packages ranging from free to $599 for annual memberships.
So if you're looking for a quick 30 or less question survey - check out these two providers.
Member Appreciation – You make it Work!
There are lots of clichés and platitudes about Community but one rule seems to be constant – It’s the members who make it work. Here’s a great example. A member recently posted a question: “Is there a document or a page that would give me an idea of which product I should use based on what I want?”
Sounds simple but this person did research My Resources and other info and simply could not find what he wanted. Thanks to GPS03 (real name: Gregory Sweet), we now have a neat little chart that at least shows you the features that are available in each service.
As a WebEx’er, this indicated to me that we have work to do to make sure our customers have the tools to help them make quick and easy decisions. As a Community Manager, I am appreciative of the expertise, time, and energy that one of our members would take to provide a handy little tool you can print and pin in your cubicle. Even if GPS03 needed to develop the chart for another assignment, the fact that he thought to share it to help a member solve is challenge is what it is all about.
So, again, thanks to our members for listening to one another and for taking action to help each other out. Whether it is digitally or in our physical work communities or personal communities, it’s the right kind of action. So many thanks to Gregory and to each of you for asking your questions and for answering them.
